Looking to promote your book, product, or ideas on radio talk shows?
"Gordon's Radio Publicity List" can help you find over 900 locally produced and nationally syndicated radio shows that interview guests. All but a handful of these shows interview guests by phone.
The list is available in both Excel and Word versions. It is book-length (approximately 420 pages when printed out) and includes all the contact information:
* Host(s)'s and producer(s)'s names
Who Uses the List?
* Show titles and times
* Station call letters and mailing addresses
* Telephone and fax numbers
* Station and show URLs
* E-mail addresses
* The most detailed show descriptions available and information about station wattage and format
* Listenership figures (when available)
The list costs $349.00 and can be e-mailed to you.
By comparison: Bacon's charges $595 for its
radio directory, and you would still have to spend days poring
through over 1,500 pages to figure out which shows may be
right for you. A half-page ad in RadioTV Reports costs $877,
and they recommend that you advertise with them for six months
to achieve the best results. That will cost you a whopping
$3,192. Another radio publicity list sells for $397,
and despite the constant turnover in talk radio, it is only
updated once every six months.
One of the best features of "Gordon's Radio Publicity List" is that all subscribers get free e-mail updates for three months. Each update includes information on 10-15 new shows, plus news about show cancellations, changes of producers and/or hosts, e-mails, and the occasional station change of address. Printed out, these monthly updates are usually 8-10 pages in length.
After 3 months, subscribers have the option to order additional updates.
Subscribers are also encouraged to report any changes (particularly any bounced-back e-mails) so the information can be shared with other subscribers. If any of the e-mails on the list bounce back, just let us know and we'll investigate and report back to you, usually within 48 hours.
Major and independent publishers, publicists, and a growing number of authors and professional speakers who handle their own promotion. Subscribers include some of the largest names in the publishing industry: Random House, HarperCollins, and Farrar Straus & Giroux, among others.
About the List Creator
William A. Gordon is a full-time author and publisher who, after hiring publicists and using guest book services, discovered he was able to get himself on radio more often simply by contacting the shows himself. He has now done over 500 radio interviews for three of his four books.
